Cooling fan is not working.

I installed VectorLinux SOHO 4.0 on my laptop computer(compaq N150).
I successfully connect to internet through USR2210 wireless network card.
Thank you very much for the information of ID "beyer42".
But I found that the cooling fan is not working, so I can not use linux for long time.
When I use windows XP, It work.
Is anyone can help me?
Have I to do kernel compile with specific option?

I solved this problem.

The solution was compilling kernel with turnning ACPI option off.
I compiled kernel-2.4.27 on VertorLinux 4.0 SOHO version.
