Hi people, I just completed downloading vector 5.8 "live" and vl soho 5.1.2 "live" and the latter stops setting up at searching for alsa, the 5.8 has a distorted screen. can anyone help me? please?

The 5.8 Live you downloaded is still an early beta. Do you get to the graphical environment before the screen gets 'distorted' or is it distorted right after boot?
I'm not sure why the SOHO version would freeze at alsa.
