zeroconf seems to only work with root privilages for nfs dolphin file manager
Hi,
I am having trouble with the zeroconf under kubuntu 12.04 or 12.10. When using dolphin under kde 4.9.4 the networking option will see my smb shares. It will also see the nas nfs shares but will not mount them saying mount point does not exist or something to that nature.
I have tried different versions of the nas as well. It did work at one point in 12.04 but after and update it stopped. If I launch dolphin with root priv it will see the nfs mount point. Also manually mounting a share will work.
I also notice that transfer times are much slower through rpdbind? and zeroconf? then when ou manually mount the share.
If someone could shed some light on this for me it would be great.
Furthermore, ppl get upset at using zeroconf, but not everyone that usess this box even knows the little that I know. So it would be handy if it could be used as well.
I should probably mention that the NAS has proper RWX permissions as well.
