Xvnc Setup - Chmod?
 

Hello,

I keep being amazed at how easy Kubuntu is to set up. I've downloaded and installed the Xvnc server, but there seems to be a problem running it. I suspect the reason is that the file permissions on the /etc/init.d/Xvnc file are different than the other files in that directory as I get a "permission denied" error when I try to start it up.

Xvnc's permissions are:
-rw-r--r--

and the other files are:
-rwxr-xr-x

I remember using chmod from the long distant past - what are the magic numbers I need to set the proper permissions on this file?

P.S. Has anyone had difficulty running Amaya 9.53 on Feisty Fawn? The app starts and then immediately quits. No idea what's going on. How to debug?
