Xubuntu in usb and check free space
Hi i have managed install xubuntu in usb (persistent installation) and i am really pretty happy. The xubuntu partition is 1.2 GB(is that enough?) I was wondering of how i can check how much disk space is free for the installing programs? Plz help
Good, I'm glad you got it!
how much space is free on the usb or on the rw-casper persistent?
When you made the rw-casper file-how big did you make it or how??
Please post your findings and accomplishments thoroughly so we can all benefit!
Tell us how you did it?
1.2GB is OK, but bigger is better.
I have a 2gb usb. So i gave 1.2 gb persistent space to xubuntu . The installation process informed me that xubuntu needs about 600mb so i assume that about 600mb of free space are available. I want to know if it is possible to check how much disk space is available for my distro.
PS 1) With persistent installations i cant see usb contents right?
PS 2)I finally made it boot from my motherboard. I just removed my silly hub and my pc can boot from usb :)
