Xubuntu & Windows Sharing

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I have a home network, with three machines, win xp, win 2000, & xubuntu 7.10. The two windows machines can access the xubuntu share, and the windows machines can access each other's shares, but xubuntu can't access the windows shares. What is what is wrong?

How are you trying to access the Windows shares? Are you using smbclient? What syntax are you using?

pyNeighborhood

I'm using pyNeighborhood. It will see the workgroup, but won's scan.

Try this command from a terminal window:-
Code:
smbclient -L server
Where "server" is the name of one of your Windows machines.

Smile Problem Solved

Problem was solved by installing smb4k from the application/system/add-remove. It is graphical, and works perfectly. FYI, xubuntu works very well on a dell-l400, 700mhz, 256mg ram, 20gb hard drive, netgear 16bit wireless card.
