Xgl - Compiz - Drapper - intel i915 - SLOWWw

Hi all,

I installed Xgl server and compiz.
It loads, but its so slow, like when u want to play a game without having ur graphics drivers installed? It doesnt move smooth..

Any ideas why this?
Any help?

System:
Intel Centrino Pentium M 1.8Ghz.
Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Expre ss Graphics Controller (rev 03)

First, check to see if direct rendering is enabled. Type "glxinfo |less", it should be one of the first few lines.

Second, make sure your system has dual channel memory configured. This configuration requires matching memory sticks in both slots for each channel (first channel is blue on newer Intel boards). If it is a laptopn, make sure both memory slots are filled with matching sodimms.

Third, don't get your hopes up if the above conditions have been met. The 945G can barely handle xgl at 1280x800 (my laptop configuration).

i turned off 'wobbly' option, and this is a bit better, but when it went to screensaver o could see that i have no 3d accel at all. What is wrong here, someone help..

Direct Rendering = yes.
