What package contains qt?

Hello everyone.

Although this is a Ubuntu forum, I need to ask a question about Kbuntu. I am trying to compile a program, but am having difficulty because I have no qmake.conf file. Could someone disclose what package this is in?

Thanks for helping out a neophyte to Linux....

Is this what you're looking for?

Code:
apt-cache search qmake
qt3-dev-tools - Qt3 development tools
qt3-assistant - The Qt3 assistant application
qt3-designer - Qt3 Designer
By the way, what program are you trying to compile?

Thanks for the reply,mate!

I downloaded qt3, which I thought would go into /usr/local; but it loaded into usr/share/...

So now since the program--a screensaver, I am new to this and wanted to try my hand at navigating around a software install--is looking for qt in /usr/local I must designate a path to /usr/share?

Does this sound right? There is another post on this site that is similar, but it does not use qt3, if that makes a difference. Just want to be sure.

Regards,
