What's the difference between mouse and sloppy?
as my question here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/12418...use-and-sloppy
From the GConf key description: Quote:
When I set this key as mouse, the focus is still on that window if I hover the cursor to the background. |
Are you using compiz? Works for me after setting Metacity as the WM.

sloppy means that when mouse points to desktop (root window), previously pointed window will not lose focus.

I am using ubuntu 11.10, but 'mouse' and 'floppy' seems to be all the same. |
I am using sloppy focus on my wm.

I'm on Debian Squeeze. As I mentioned, it works on Squeeze. Will check my Oneiric install and see what happens.

Just checked my Oneiric install in VMWARE and 'sloppy' and 'mouse' works as described in the schema, ie: setting to 'sloppy' causes the window with the focus to keep the focus when the mouse moves to the background and setting to 'mouse' causes the window with the focus to lose the focus when the mouse moves to the background.
