Using a TV screen
Hi,
I am running ubuntu 8.04 and have a nvidia GeForce 4200Ti video adapter. The card comes with three ports: VGA, DVI, and S-Video. I am using DVI for the monitor (1280x1024) and a S-Video cable for the TV. In WinXP, I use the nVidia utility to change output (from monitor to TV); where TV needs to be set at 640x480 res or 800x600 (actually I use the latter). With the nvidia utility I can set the different outputs' resolution.
How do I accomplish this in Linux, i.e. putting video on TV using different resolution from monitor? I read about Xandr, but do I need to change xconf too?
