User : Log-in Screen

Ever since the intro of Grub2,
on the main Log-in screen, there is a "User"
listed at the bottom of whoever is listed on the Users Log-in.

Just what or who is this used for?.
if it is 'clicked' on, then it asks for a password,
as if 'it' is some kind of "user".

But, as I don't know just what 'it' is for,
therefore I also don't know 'it's' password either.

Are you referring to the 'other' option?

YES
if I click on it, - assuming that it is some form of log-in,
it asks for a password. which I don't know.

if it's not that, then just what is it?. & what's it used for?.

I'm still

That facility is for users who have 'hidden' logins i.e. there's no user icon for them to click on. There's nothing to worry about, all distros support this method of login.
