usb modem on ubuntu 7.04

I can't help you from experience but did a "Google" with -linux tata indicom modem- and found numerous articles. If no one answers in a day or so you may want to check it out.

The output from wvdial looks like everything is working fine:
you've been able to contact your ISP, and you've been assigned an IP address... Quote:
