Recently I made the decision to install Ubuntu 11.10 on my netbook (Asus Eee PC 901), but I wanted to test a Alpha, so downloaded alpha 3 and installed it to a USB key. This means I can plug it in to almost any computer and get access to my data, which is good.
However, I have 3 computers. Ubuntu 11.04, 10.10, and Windows Vista, and one network. Normally I set this up on each of them however using the USB key I have to login for each computer. Is there a way to make it remember certain networks whatever PC it is on? Another reason of doing this is if one of my computers breaks and I need to copy the files, I can easily mount the file system and use Deja Dup backup and back it up to my 500GB hard disk.
Distribution: Mainly Devuan, antiX, & Void, with Tiny Core, Fatdog, & BSD thrown in.

Not quite sure what you are asking; but if it's that you want your usb key to log into your network, you're out of luck.
Each of your computers has a unique number, so that data on a network is sent to the right machine, that is why you have to log in to the network on each machine.

If this wasn't your question, please ignore.
Ah, ok. Not that much of a problem now, I have gone to each of my computers and set it up.
