unloading 6.06/uploading5.1

Hey All,
It's been a long time sinse I last posted to Linux, first to this form. I'd like to unload 6.06 from my computer and load 5.1. Sounds nuts I know, but I need 5.1 to support a program I want to try (EMC2). The computer currently has windows XP/6.06 with a dual loader. I'd like to keep the XP in it's current unmolested state. If you reply please consider that loading using a automatic loader and using Linux in it's icon mode is as far as I currently go with linux
Thanks
Paul

If you only want to downgrade to run one program then you may prefer to use a chroot. You basically install 5.10 into another directory and use the command dchroot to run a command/program that will only "see" the 5.10 install. It is a but complicated if you know nothing about working in a term, but it's less complicated than downgrading. The only "simple" way to downgrade would be to backup all your data then do a fresh install.

If you want help or want to know how to go about making a chroot, then just let me know and I'll try to guide you threw it.
