Ok, I feel pretty stupid, and feel as though I should say I am not as dull as I probably seem in these posts, however, yes I did an in windows install, and there are Ubuntu folders in windows, however there is no program on the add/remove programs list. I took some screen caps of the Ubuntu folder in windows, as well as the folders within.

I have never dona a Wubi install. So it is difficult for me to try to troubleshoot this.
If there is no option to remove Ubuntu as per the link I gave: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wu...n-installation
Then you could just delete the Ubuntu folders that you have in Windows.
Then you would likely need to boot from your Windows CD or DVD (if you have one) and restore the Windows Master Boot Record (MBR), so that Windows can still boot.
Alternatively, you could install Ubuntu the real way, to a dedicated linux partition. This will set grub2 to control the MBR so you can boot both Windows and Ubuntu. Then you could just delete the Ubuntu folders that you have inside your Windows install and you should (hopefully) be good.
Ok, so I did use a wubi installer, (I misunderstood this earlier) and to install Ubuntu I downloaded the image (?) and burned it to a dvd, then booted from that dvd, and when in Windows, in the remove program list, I cannot find Ubuntu there.
When you made that DVD to boot from did you use software that creates an "iso image" or just the copy command or how did you make the DVD ?? Also did you partition the Hard Disk Drive prior to doing WUBI ?
. . .There seems to be lots of data on the three partitions, #2 looks like the Windows backup files with the next partion full of STUFF.
