Ubuntu/XP Dual Boot problem - only XP
This morning we got a PC from a friend of ours whose Windows had completely stuffed up. We couldn't fix it on their computer, so we decided to take out the HD and shuttle everything onto my computer so we could look at it (on theirs, Windows doesn't even start up, giving a BSOD when booting). So we copied some of his files onto my computer, and tried some other stuff, but we couldn't do anything to fix it. So we sort of gave up for the day, and I decided to go back into Ubuntu to do my normal stuff. Except, I can't get into Ubuntu. Every time I boot, XP comes up by default. So does anyone have any suggestion on how to get my Ubuntu back? I saw a thread where the guy could only boot into Ubuntu, and not XP, is this similar? Or is it completely different?
