Hi all,

i found some ubuntu tips at the following site:

to what extent these tips are true(especially tips 1,2,7,8,9)??

I can tell you that he "sounds" completely credible. I have not tried any, but I also did not see any that I thought would be risky to try.

One thing that is puzzling: If all this is true, why would it not be the default setup for Average-Joe User?

When i tried the tip no:1 i didn't find the line that says “vm.swappiness=60” in the file /etc/sysctl.conf . i use dapper
