Ubuntu Server 8.10

When I run the setup it asks for the "primary" network adapter to configure during install

if i have one connected to the LOCAL network
and one to the internet

which should i choose during install

or does it even matter? and just configure the other in /etc/network/interfaces after installation

Ubuntu docs (which often disappoint me with their lack of information/organization) say:
Quote:
As you enter this step, if the system detects that you have more than one network device, you'll be asked to choose which device will be your primary network interface, i.e. the one which you want to use for installation.
= the internet NIC, it does matter, and also needs configure (I assume bridging and such) post-install.
