Ubuntu Serial ATA???

I decided to switch from slackware to Ubuntu 5.04. I can install all of the files. When system reboots and goes to grub it says hard drive not found. Its trying to boot from hda1 and should be booting from sda1 or sda right? What should I do? Thanks

I tried installing grub to both mbr and the installation drive. Plus I tried installing LILO and it wouldn't let me...kept getting fatal error.
