Ubuntu Questions

I just built a new PC (asus mobo, 1 gig of ram, 2-250 gig hd, nvidia geforce 7600gs sli cards, amd athlon 64 fx-55)

Can anyone tell me if Ubuntu will support the latest version of wine. I want to dual boot xp pro x64 and a linux distro that is easy to use and works with wine. Some of my windows apps don't work with x64.

Also, does Ubuntu work with XGL? How do I install XGL?

Ubuntu works with the latest version of wine, but wine won't work with 64bit yet, wine is only 32bit.
If you want to run 64bit apps then you can use QEMU or VMware
Not sure about installing XGL look on http://www.ubuntuforums.org but i have heared it works.
