Ubuntu Mouse Problem

I know that this problem is all over the place, but does anyone actually HAVE a solution to the USB failing after 2-5 minutes and not being fixed.
To clear up
YES the mouse works on other computers / OS's
NO changing the usb port doesnt work.

PLEASE dont reply with a "I have this problem too"

If there is a solution out there it'd be nice is this forum post would be easy to find for others.

Hope someone has a fix for this.

I haven't seen any USB problems with lower speed devices like mice. I had some problems with a webcam on a powered USB hub but that problem went away when moving to a port directly on my PC. I currently connect three cursor devices to a single hub and the they all work interchangeably. I'm using a laser mouse, USB touchpad and a Wacom tablet.
