Ubuntu kills internet connection
Hello,
Whenever I boot up ubuntu 5.04, it kills my internet connection. I have a Netgear 8 port hub, which is connected to my SMC 7004ABR router, which is plugged into my Zoom ADSL modem. One box is Ubuntu 5.04 and the other is XP. Once the Ubuntu box boots up, neither box can access the internet. The only way to get back on is shut all hardware down and restart. Also, my internet connection has slowed from about 1200 kbps to less than 400 kbps. I had a similar type of problem. My issue turned out to be in regards to changing DNS entries in resolv.conf file

Ubuntu kills internet connection
No, I can't ping any external address. The only addresses I can ping are in my network, and sometimes I can't even ping my router or dsl modem.
