Hi there,
I have a fairly old laptop and it served me well for the last 4 yrs, and I'm very happy w/ it. But after installing Debian 4.0 2-3 months ago and then Xubuntu Gutsy last week, I've been having those out-of-nowhere stalls and locks which leaves me no option but to kill the power the hard way when I leave the computer alone for more than an hour or so. My dmesg report is full of
Code:
[ 941.248000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 4 (2427 MHz) flags 0xc0 '' (HAL status 0)
[ 941.656000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 8 (2447 MHz) flags 0xc0 '' (HAL status 0)
[ 944.308000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 9 (2452 MHz) flags 0xc0 'Hardware didn't respond as expected' (HAL status 3)
[ 947.160000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 6 (2437 MHz) flags 0xc0 'Hardware didn't respond as expected' (HAL status 3)
[ 947.564000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 6 (2437 MHz) flags 0xc0 'Hardware didn't respond as expected' (HAL status 3)
[ 950.824000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 3 (2422 MHz) flags 0xc0 'Hardware didn't respond as expected' (HAL status 3)
[ 954.648000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 1 (2412 MHz) flags 0xc0 '' (HAL status 0)
[ 957.048000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 1 (2412 MHz) flags 0xc0 '' (HAL status 0)
[ 957.448000] wifi0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 11 (2462 MHz) flags 0xc0 'Hardware didn't respond as expected' (HAL status 3)
which I don't think has anything to do with this problem.
Anyways, and here's my /proc/interrupts:
