ubuntu desktop firewall squid clamav server, need to add havp
I am working on an ubuntu desktop configured as a gateway server. I am presently using firestarter for the firewall and clamav for virus scanning. (I still need to config clamav to scan files downloaded through firestarter). I recently added squid to the picture and that is working well.
My question, I have been browsing blogs and websites trying to find something that will work for me or that I can modify to work for me. I ran into Paul_mat's posting and all went well until I had to mount the var directory as havp and that seemed to mess things up quite a bit. I suspect it is because ubuntu's var tree is slightly different than the one paul was using, my mistake.
Anyway, wondering if anyone out there has a success story on making squid work with havp, clamav and firestarter with ubuntu? I think i need to use havp to direct traffic from from firestarter and squid to clamav for virus scanning, but I could be wrong.
