I've recently installed the 6.10 version of Ubuntu on my PC. So far I have experienced regular freezes while browsing the internet, listening to music and watching videos or pretty much anything else.
I have heard that the AMD 64 version of Ubuntu isn't quite there yet.
My question is: will I be able to install the 32-bit version of Ubuntu on an AMD 64 machine without any trouble? Will it work?
I have an occasional Firefox crash as well. Linux is so good about not going down with it and Firefox 2 has improved recovery. I'm using about 10 extensions and have a number of plugins including a beta of Flash 9. It doesn't really get in the way of using my system.
