Ubuntu 6.10 wireless issue Lots of Info ... need help!

I installed and ran ndiswrapper. I downloaded the WPCG54S ver 1.0 NT drivers and applied them using ndiswrapper. It shows Hardware present:yes. I can assign it to a WAP that has a WEP key or no WEP key and I disable the eth0 Wired adapter. For some reason, I cant resolve an IP. Furthermore, if I scan for wLAN's with my wifi radar and wardriving programs I get nothing. I have pasted the relevant info from lspci -v below. I am running Ubuntu 6.10 on an inspiron notebook with 512MB RAM and a P4 Mobile. I would appreciate any help as I have been banging my head against this problem for a while now with little progress. Thanks.

Check out this website, i was having a similar issue and finally resolved it with following these steps. I did not see the bcm43xx-fwcutter part in some other tutorials and I think this was what finally got mine to work. I used the fwcutter with the file wl_apsta.o.
