triple boot os, ubuntu, win98, and winxp. only 2 hdd
hi, i'm new to ubuntu. hope all of u wont get frustrated with my post.
i had two hdd, primary installed with win98, secondary with winxp. my problem is i wanted to install ubuntu on the secondary hdd, in which i would like to create a partition for ubuntu. currently, primary had no partition, secondary already had a partition, namely E: drive now i wanted to add a partition to secondary drive, naming it the F: drive to install ubuntu. the problem is could i install it properly? can i get to triple boot menu on startup? will it cause problems? please show me how |
I don't see any reason that setup would give you any problems, other than having to resize the existing partitions.
It would probably be easier and more reliable to install Ubuntu to a partition on the primary drive so that the OS and bootloader would be on the same drive, but it should work the way you have it laid out at any rate. |
