What opens, or does anything? Are you sure its an actual Link and not just plain text(ie, its underlined, etc..) See my thread a few spots below on trouble I've been having receiving links.
If you're sure its definitely a link....
Click System>Preferences>Preferred Applications. On the Internet Tab, choose the web browser from the pull down menu that you want as "default"...
