Stuck on grub prompt on boot

Hi all

I have been trying to install ubuntu 6.10 for the past 6 hours. The install seems to go fine, however on first boot, where the graphical grub should be (at least i assume there should be one there) there is a prompt saying 'grub>'. I can't seem to get round this. I am not using dual boot.

My setup for partitioning is:

SATA Drive:
/boot 512MB Ext3
/ 180GB Ext3
Swap 4GB Swap

IDE Drive:
/media/sda5 120GB

I have tried other setups, basically using the SATA drive for ubuntu, and swap and whatever else. I use the IDE drive as a store for media etc. The IDE drive is FAT32.

Any help for getting ubuntu to boot much appreciated. Thanks.
