Sound not working


Hi,

Installed ubuntu feisty onto my Compaq V3136TU notebook but sound does not work.

Tried adding "options snd-hda-intel" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base but to no avail.

Any idea why?

Try connecting headphone or some external speakers, see if they work..
If they work, the problem might be with switches.

Start gnome-volume-control and go to Switches. Try to check/uncheck Speaker and Headphones switch...

Hi just to update. Its working already.

Apparently, I unmuted PCM-2 in the volume control and its been producing the sweetest sound I ever heard
