Sorry, dumb question about "getdeb.net" - please help anyway....
Hi,
I found this website, "www.getdeb.net" which has newer versions of software than any of the ubuntu repos that I have found. I use gdebi (awesome tool) to install the downloads. Well, my question is how would one update the packages installed by getdeb.net ? *** By update, I mean, if I install GNUcash from getdeb, how do I keep current when the next GNUCash is released since there is not a repository entry in the apt sources.lst? I think that my options for updating the packages downloaded and installed from this site are:
1. keep checking back at the site and install newer packages by download & gdebi.
2. Or, eventually synaptic repos with catch up to and succeed the packages that I installed from getdeb and then synaptic would update it for me.
Is that pretty much how it would work ?
Thanks
B
