Slow internet/network connection.

I hope this is th right forum to post in... Anyways, I have a D-Link DWL-122 wirelessnetwork adapter (USB), and am using ubuntu 5.04. I have finaly managed to get it working using ndiswrapper 1.0 rc2, but it is EXTREAMLY slow. the same adapter when used with windows is not slow. What can i do to fix this?

Is your link quality alright?
Is it connecting at its full potential (11Mb) ?
Are there better drivers available (probably not since your using ndis) ?

iwconfig and the network monitor applet both say that the link quality is at 100%. Iwconfig reports that the speed is at 11 mbs. I am using the drivers provided at the ndiswrapper home page, and the ones off the cd dont work. I tried a newer version od ndiswrapper (1.2), but ubuntu wouldnt load them because they where not the 1.0rc2 version (the ones that come on the install cd). I had read somewhere that i can use the prism2_USB drivers, but have no clue how to do so. (The card uses the prism usb chipset)
