Set Pacific Time Zone. Never been able to "properly" do it.
Everytime I installed Linux I could never get the Time Zone to set right. I always just "hard-switched" the time to be accurate.
However this will no longer do. Whenever I collaborate in ODC (Excel etc.) I get the dates looking like DD/MM/YY whereas I am accustomed to MM/DD/YY. Now I now I can also set that to look how I want but once my co-workers look at it in windows they are like "WTF, the dates are messed up!".
I have only one clue: Whenever I set my time I set it to the place closest to me (Located Seattle,WA,USA area) I always get Vancouver, BC, Canada.
So has anyone had a problem like this or is it just my stupidity (most likely)? A solution or some tips? What timezone should I pick and etc.??
You would think that I could make sense of it....but who knows.
I thought now would be the best time since I am doing a system re-install.
