Seeking for a firewall

i have ran it in Debian and Ubuntu.
but when i nmap it from another pc it shows everything closed cept the ports i want to have open.

not sure if this email address is still valid or not. but this was from the site.

Lemme' essplain your turmoil.

I simply shifted from Restricted, to a black-list mode. You now have to fire at 22, while others are rampant, and dropped on a time-out basis.
It's one of them there opt's.

fs, typically is on the order of security w/ McAfee. They use punch-hole memos, hard copy, to order their line of thinking when coding. It works...
