Screen blanks after 60 seconds

If I don't press a key or move the mouse the screen blanks after a minute, this is annoying when watching a movie or reading a website or man page...

The screen saver isn't set to start automatically and powers saving is set to 30 mins.
The monitor doesn't go in to standby, it just blanks.

Any ideas?

Unfortunatly, I have no idea (and, unfortunatly, I'm posting anyways... ).

Is this on 6.06 or on Edgy?

Does this happen since your first-time install, or can you - eventually - remember/restore a state when this didn't happen? I.e., did you install some software or set some system settings before that problem occured at first?

- I guess, you're just moving the mouse or press some keyboard key in order to make the screen display again... (without any password prompt)?

Thanks (and, seriously, good luck, you ubuntu-ueber-guru )

It happens on 6.06 (Dapper), but I do have Edgy and it doesn't happen on that.
It hasn't always done it, but it has for a few months (installed/upgraded so many packages since then but non I can think of that would do that).

Yeah, I just move the mouse or tap a key and the display comes back (no password).
I'm stuck on this one, can't find any config that would explain why (or change it).
