Save a downloaded (purchased) product for a later reinstall

Hi there,

I was wanting to purchase and download a game for my daughter off the Ubuntu Software Center but one reason why I haven't done so yet is that when I do an upgrade I don't want to have to re-purchase the game. How is this problem handled in Software Center?

(I would prefer to download the .deb file or whatever, and keep it to reinstall when I like....)

If you can I would use synaptic to download the bugger. I do not know if you can do that because Ubuntu does not want you to use a real package manager.

If you can do that then when you hit the, apply button, you get a "confirm" box that tells what all is to be downloaded (package + depends) with a box to just download the packages (no install).

You might check USC, on some other package, to see if it offers this. I doubt it as that would be too hard for the "average" user to understand. According to the good folks at Ubuntu most things are.
