Running newest Ubuntu, just installed and having errors upgrading packages

I am debating on trying to reinstall.. or redownload and then reinstall..

did you try in a root terminal apt-get check?
If it finds a problem it will tell you what command to try
Also some time you can try apt-get update or apt-get upgrade to try to fix apt or some package issues.
