W: GPG error: http://us.archive.ubuntu.com breezy Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG 40976EAF437D05B5 Ubuntu Archive Automatic Signing Key <ftpmaster@ubuntu.com>

means that apt can't find the gnupgp signing key to verify the packages authenticity on nerim.

i get the same every time i update (debian-proper). i ignore it.

if it really bothers you, you can modify your apt repos for nerim to not check for a key...never bothered me enough to do it on my box...google it if you want to.

or disable your repos for nerim with a #....me, i gotta be able to view proprietary ms-crap-for-video and i want the latest and greatest.

apt still does it's job...if the error caused apt to stop working...that would be a different story...
