rsync hangs

Hello!

I am trying to rsync an rsync repository. I issued the following command in VectorLinux and the server returns the available rsync repositories:

Code:
rsync rsync://rsync.slackware.at
However, in Ubuntu, it just hangs.

What gives?

Has anyone been able to reproduce this problem?

Thanks,
Murdock

Works for me in Ubuntu. Have you tried --verbose? Maybe it's timing out on the lookup or something.

Hello,

Yes...you are correct - it was a firewall configuration problem.

Thanks,
Murdock
