remotely replacing FC4 w/ubuntu

A new server I purchased was installed with FC4 / Apache 1.3 / MySQL 4.1 / and Plesk.

I want Ubuntu / Apache 2.0 / Mysql 5.0 / and Webmin.

I guess I could do with Fedora, but I really prefer a debian-like envrionment and am enjoying ubuntu at home and work. This server will host about 200 sites and applications and I want to be able to administer it as easily as my home system.

I am in Washington, the server is in California.

I have found a few articles about how to accomplish this, but I was wondering if anyone else has done this and would like to share some tips!

Thanks
