Reconfigure kernel after upgrade?

Hi!

I have just upgraded my cpu from Pentium to an AMD Sempron 3000+.
Breezy Badger is running faster than ever, but still thinks It is an Intel on bootup, so could probably run even better with a reconfiguration...!
Is there an easy, preferably graphical way to reconfigure the kernel? Reading threads on the net I gather that the Sempron should run on a K7 setup, but I am still in a relatively "Newbie" stage, and have never tried reconfiguring before.

Many thanks,

Nick

yeah. all you need to do is go to "synaptic" and install the appropriate AMD kernel......

ubuntu will download it, install it then configure the boot loader. as i recall all you will need to do is then reboot. and you will have a new option on your boot menu. if you're happy it works you can use synaptic to uninstall the old kernel.
