Ok, I did that and it allowed me to get back into Synaptic, but now when I try to fix the broken dependencies it gives me the error
Code:
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/python-uno_2.2.0-1ubuntu5_i386.deb: unable to open files list file for package `python-uno'
and I've already removed it from the directory, forcing it to re-download it and still no dice. Should I clear all the files from the directory, or is there something I can do? Thanks!
Here is some more information:
Code:
keith@Krypton~$sudo apt-get -f install
(Reading database ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/python-uno_2.2.0-1ubuntu5_i386.deb (--unpack):
unable to open files list file for package `python-uno': Permission denied
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/python-uno_2.2.0-1ubuntu5_i386.deb
Processing was halted because there were too many errors.
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
keith@Krypton:~$
I don't understand how permission can be denied when it re-downloaded the file fresh and I'm doing it as sudo.
