Problems installing Vidalia 0.1.2

I've downloaded qt4, qt4-dev-tools, qt4-designer and cmake, and have successfully installed both Tor and Privoxy on my system, however when I navigate to the directory I extracted the Vidalia 0.1.2 source to, and run the command "cmake . && make," I get a string of events ending with the following:

Code:
CMake Error: your CXX compiler: "CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER-NOTFOUND" was not found. Please set CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER to a valid compiler path or name.
CMake Error: Internal CMake error, TryCompile configure of cmake failed
-- Check for working CXX compiler: CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER-NOTFOUND -- broken
CMake Error: The C++ compiler "CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER-NOTFOUND" is not able to compile a simple test program.
It fails with the following output:

CMake will not be able to correctly generate this project.
CMake Error: your CXX compiler: "CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER-NOTFOUND" was not found. Please set CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER to a valid compiler path or name.
-- Configuring done
Now I'm pretty much a Linux newbie, having only installed a few days ago - so naturally, I have no idea what's going on here. Anybody able to help, or have any ideas on how I fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to LQ, hope you like it here. Please complete your profile, at least your distribution info, makes it easier for us to give more exact answers (like distro-specific commands or if there already is a package for your distro). Wrt to the Cmake error, install the "g++" package and see if that fixes things.
