problem with wakeonlan

I have wrote a script that every time I (or my friends) turn on the computer, it will send the IP address via email to me before login. It is fine and works properly.

I also have installed ethtools and the problem is if I turn on the computer via "wakeonlan <MAC address>" from another computer in the LAN, I won't receive any email however the computer has been woke up. Any idea for that?

Invoke your script in some system startup files: /etc/rc*, /etc/init.d or /etc/event and not when user login.

It was in the wrong rc* (run level). I fixed it and thanks for the tip
