Problem when updating kubuntu 9.04->9.10 : server possible overloaded

Hi all,

I've tried to upgrade kubuntu from 9.04 to 9.10 by using update notifier, but every time i get an error message that the server may be overloaded. I know that i can re-install the new version with a cd, but i don't want to loose my programms installed at the moment (or is it possible to make an update with the cd in kubuntu itself, without loosing information?)

Is this a temporarily problem or can there be something wrong in the way i perform this update (or something else?). My internet connection is working fine, so this couldn't possibly be the cause.

cu!

How about trying to update from commandline? To update from the cd see here: Upgrade from CD. Look about of the way down the page.
