Problem Installing Ubuntu 8.10
 

Today i downloaded Ubuntu 8.10 and i burn it to a cd then i reboot my pc and boot from the cd then i was trying to install ubuntu but on the step 3 of the installation on where it says to chose the keyword layout it got frozen and it didnt went to the 4 step....then i downloaded ubuntu and burn it into another cd and it didnt work eigher....... what can it be?

Did you check the md5 checksum? Test the CD for errors? Run the memtest? Make sure you downloaded the correct media file (cd/dvd)? Read the release notes to ensure 8.10 supports all of your hardware, your keyboard language/layout, etc.? How long did you wait before aborting the installation?

i did all that bro.... i check the checksum, i run a mem test and i re-downloaded the Ubuntu 8.10 ISO Image from difrent mirros and i burned a few mor times but still got stuck on step 3 in the installation i even burn the image in a usb and still does the same thing
