Problem installing intel 915g gfx driver

Hello I have a probelm installing the gfx driver for my Intel 915g gfx card. I'm trying to install the driver on a Thinkpad R52.

I downloaded the driver from intel and ran the shell script. Here is the error message I got:

DIRECT RENDERING OPEN SOURCE PROJECT - DRIVER INSTALLATION SCRIPT

[ http://dri.sourceforge.net ]

==========================================================================

The script will now compile the [: 1361: ==: unexpected operator
DRM kernel modules
for your machine.

Press ENTER to continue or CTRL-C to exit.

When I press enter I get this error:

[: 1361: ==: unexpected operator
[: 1361: ==: unexpected operator

what should I do now?

Thanks in advance

Try 915resolution (sudo apt-get install 915resolution).

All I had to do was restart X and it was working.
