I am running Oneiric and installed a wireless Brother printer, it worked ok before, but after some system update the printer setting page gone, I can only see a very simple printer setting page with only the printer name and location and couple useless things, I can't change the paper size and resolution etc., I can print the test page but none of my document printed. I got out of ink and printer disconnected error, but how come it can print the test page !? the whole system is getting weird everyday, I think Ubuntu is overdone things !!

Can you connect to the printer's web page? This is usually something like http://ip_address_of_printer

The printer settings are usually found on that web page. I don't do Oneiric, so I don't know what they are using for a printer settings front end.

The printer finally printed after a long delay, I don't know the address the driver takes care about that.
