I'll give an another try for "scientific route" as I found out that pen drive is "located" in /dev/sda1... So could it be that I need to mount the device in somehow changing something in /etc/fstab or in /etc/mtab?

/etc/fstab

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/hda5 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/hdd /media/cdrom1 udf,iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy vfat noauto,user,rw,defaults 0 0

/etc/mtab

/dev/hda1 / ext3 rw,errors=remount-ro 0 0
proc /proc proc rw 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs rw 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts rw,gid=5,mode=620 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs rw 0 0
/dev /.dev unknown rw,bind 0 0
none /dev tmpfs rw,size=5M,mode=0755 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs rw 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy vfat rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,user=internetuser 0 0

What do you think?

One question more: is there a backdoor for using pen drive? In other words: which one is the folder that indicates the physical driver?

The problem is resolved... I used the old good change-and-try method. Now I'm about to study which one was the trick that finally permitted me to use the pen drive.

Cheer mate once again!
