שלום

Do you mean to say that you can type Hebrew in OO but it doesn't display it as Hebrew until you save as HTML? Can you type Hebrew in other programs? (I'm trying to figure out if you have the keyboard layout set to Hebrew or not) If not then you have to set your keyboard layout to Hebrew: http://www.iglu.org.il/faq/cache/86.html

If you can type Hebrew in other programs then it might be a font setting thing,
This FAQ at IGLU says something about setting the font: http://www.iglu.org.il/faq/cache/222.html

Hi
Thanks for replying,
I did play with the keybord layout, in centos it works very good. when i write , i see nothing happens, the cursor changes to right to left, but not writing.
if i save the doc as html and revirew it with firefox ten i see the hebrew letters.
by the way , how id ubuntu in general?

I'm a bit confused. Are you having the problem in Ubuntu, centos, or both? Can you type in Hebrew in other programs, like firefox?

I don't have OO installed, but I'm guessing it might be a matter of changing the font or encoding. The encoding for Hebrew is ISO-8859-8

hope that helps
